An environmental report can only assess risk based on recorded information. Contaminated Land Insurance protects you against possible unrecorded risk ' such as illegal dumping of contaminants or unrecorded industrial land use from the 1700's.

Our Land Insurance policy has been designed to offer the best possible protection from the risks. It provides cover of up to £1 million for both clean-up and any loss of value to the property ' more than any other specialist policy of its kind.

By taking out this policy at the same time as ordering a professional report, you will be covered against any identified risk. Where a report fails and insurance has not already been purchased, a bespoke policy is required to cover against contaminants shown in the report, available at a variable (and higher) premium.

You can purchase Contaminated Land Insurance for just £50 (inc VAT & IPT) for sites up to 1/2 acre. A discount is available when the policy is purchased at the same time as a Homecheck Professional Environmental Report.
